Our IWD2020 event with JLABS @ Toronto was a great gathering of WSTEM leaders, with a fantastic panel discussing the journey of women From the Classroom to the Boardroom.
Casual networking from home to beat lockdown blues! It was great to connect with WSTEM TO member and support each other while sharing anecdotes from our lives during these unusual times.
On April 23 we hosted Dr. Nana Lee, Director and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. Nana brought her valuable expertise and provided insightful information, strategies and techniques as well as practical tips to assist WSTEM TO members with their next career opportunity within industry or academia.
In June WSTEM TO hosted a panel of experts to discuss many aspects of conflict management, including the various types of conflicts in the workplace and in everyday life. During the session, we learnt several strategies and skills on how to cope with conflicts and how to resolve them. Many thanks to our panelists and participants!

On October 23, 2019, Doina Oncel, Founder and CEO of hEr VOLUTION, told about her entrepreneurial work for women in STEM and offered volunteer opportunities within her non-for-profit organization
In this evening event we hosted Dani Peters, President of Magnet Strategy Group, for a discussion and an insider's view of public affairs and government policies.
We celebrated our first amazing year together in a fabulous holiday party! We talked, connected, ate&drank... we even had a chance to give back to the community, it was so much fun. Looking forward to another year full of events and opportunities!
