WSTEM TO is proud to present MentorSHE, a 9-month program in partnership with Flow Coaching Institute, combining professional career coaching and mentoring for STEM women committed to developing their career path.
MentorSHE is a 2-phase program:
Phase I is a career coaching program delivered by Flow professional coaches in a 1:1 format. This phase is 3 months long and includes biweekly meetings with your personal coach.
Phase II is a group mentoring program with two optional tracks: Academia and Industry. The circle meets once a month for a 6-month period, providing you a supportive environment for establishing meaningful relationships with your peers and mentors.
The Coffee With... program is a supporting program offered to MentorSHE participants, offering networking opportunities with STEM leaders in an intimate virtual format.
As the first cohort of MentorSHE graduates in February 2021, we are looking forward to follow the participants as they lead their STEM careers and use their newly-developed skills to break down barriers and create opportunities for themselves, and for other STEM women, in various STEM fields. WSTEM TO's commitment to creating a change is reflected in this program's impact on individuals and on the STEM community.

Naushaba Khan testimonial MentorSHE 2020-21:
"The transition period between graduating school and getting your first job is filled with uncertainties and doubts. It is especially hard when you are an international student and there is a time limit set on you, add a pandemic to the mix and you start believing that you will fail. That is when I came across MentorSHE - a time when I truly was at my lowest. However, participating in MentorSHE as a mentee changed all that for me. Phase 1, which included career coaching sessions, helped me stay focused on my goals and see things with a fresh perspective. More importantly, my coach provided me with resources that only professionals have access to and helped me build good habits to gradually overcome my barriers. During Phase 2 of MentorSHE, I was mentored by industry experts who had extensive knowledge and experience in the field of science. My mentors opened my eyes to STEM career opportunities that I had not previously considered or even known about at the time. I was able to pick their brains and learn from their personal journeys, but most importantly I was able to grow my network with a group of brilliant women who have achieved great heights in the field of STEM. Looking back participating in MentorSHE was the smartest decision that I had made for myself in 2020 and the best part about it was that I did end up landing my first job! I would recommend it to all women pursuing a career in STEM regardless of what stage in their career they are at." - Naushaba Khan
